Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole
Dropped kerbs for driveways and wider access, installed in line with local regulations and with as little disruption as possible.
A dropped kerb lets vehicles and people move easily between the road and the pavement, which makes access safer and more convenient. We install them for private driveways and for public areas, on projects of any size.
Each installation follows local regulations and is planned around the residents and businesses who will use it. We can also advise on looking after the kerb once it's in.
Local knowledge
Since April 2019, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have been covered by a single council, BCP Council, which is also the highway authority for the area’s roads and pavements.
Because a dropped kerb crosses the public pavement, it needs BCP Council's approval before any work starts. It's worth checking this early if you're planning a new driveway.
A dropped kerb only works with a suitable driveway behind it. We lay driveways as well as kerbs, so both can be planned together.
We install dropped kerbs right across the BCP area, with local pages for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Ours are built to cope with heavy use and bad weather.
A dropped kerb can make a property more accessible, and more attractive to buyers or tenants.
We keep costs sensible without cutting quality, and work efficiently to limit disruption.
